Drs. Michael Vitale and David Roye Named Inaugural Samberg Scholars

Drs. David P. Roye, Jr. and Michael G. Vitale, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, were among ten exceptional physicians at NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital that were named the inaugural Samberg Scholars in Children’s Health, a newly endowed appointment made possible by the generous donation of $25 million from hospital trustee Arthur Samberg and his wife, Rebecca. The scholars were officially appointed at a ceremony yesterday at the hospital, attended by Mr. and Mrs. Samberg and about 100 colleagues and supporters of the new scholars.

Dr. Michael Vitale Featured on 50 Spine Surgeons Focusing on Scoliosis Development

Michael G. Vitale, MD, MPH, chief, Pediatric Spine and Scoliosis Surgery, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital, was recently chosen for Becker’s Spine Review list of “50 Spine Surgeons Focusing on Scoliosis Development,” which includes physicians focused on scoliosis and spinal deformity surgery and research.
