The mission of the Weinberg Family Cerebral Palsy Center isn’t confined to the borders of North America. Executive Director Dr. David Roye and his team of CP experts have organized multiple international medical missions throughout Asia in 2016 to spread the Center’s care philosophy and understanding about Cerebral Palsy and related disabilities. Their destinations: Japan and China.
Dr. David Roye, one of our pediatric orthopedic surgeons, accepted a prestigious membership award at the 68th annual meeting of the American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Development Medicine (AACPDM) held September 9-13 in San Diego. As Executive Director of the Weinberg Family CP Center at Columbia Orthopedics, Dr. Roye clearly demonstrates “outstanding leadership mentoring trainees and colleagues in the field of childhood-onset disabilities.”
The Weinberg Family Cerebral Palsy Center at Columbia was recently featured in an article in the Wall Street Journal. The Center, led by Dr. David P. Roye, was established to bridge the gap between pediatric and adult CP care. The Center is devoted to coordinating and delivering three elements of medical care: Research, Education, and Treatment.
