Dr. David Roye Recognized by AACPDM for Outstanding Leadership Related to Cerebral Palsy

Dr. David Roye, one of our pediatric orthopedic surgeons, accepted a prestigious membership award at the 68th annual meeting of the American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Development Medicine (AACPDM) held September 9-13 in San Diego.  As Executive Director of the Weinberg Family CP Center at Columbia Orthopedics, Dr. Roye clearly demonstrates “outstanding leadership mentoring trainees and colleagues in the field of childhood-onset disabilities.”

About AACPDM Honoree Dr. David Roye

David P. Roye, Jr., MD, specializes in treating pediatric spinal deformities, including scoliosis, and performing hip surgery on adolescents. A fixture on Castle Connolly’s rankings of America’s Top Doctors, Dr. Roye has dedicated his career to improving the lives of children both here and abroad.

In 2009, Dr. Roye received the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons’ Humanitarian Award, which honors fellows of the academy who have “distinguished themselves by providing outstanding musculoskeletal care, both in the United States and abroad . . . (and) who help to improve the human condition by alleviating suffering and supporting and contributing to the basic human dignity of those in need.” The Children’s Dream Foundation also recognized Dr. Roye for his contributions to children’s healthcare.
